YARMOUTH, N.S. — The Valley High School Hockey League’s (VHSHL) boys and girls annual all-star games are being played at the Mariners Centre in Yarmouth on Sunday, Feb. 17.

The girls all-star game will be played at 12 noon and the boys all-star game will be played at 2 p.m.

The admission cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students. (This is a day pass so that admission gets you into both games, or just one game if that’s the case.)

There are 11 boys teams and 10 girls teams in the Valley High School Hockey League.

On the boys side of the league the west division is made up of Par-en-Bas, Yarmouth, Barrington, Clare and Middleton high schools. The east division is made up of Park View, Avon View, NKEC, Central Kings, Horton and West Kings.

The girls’ 10 league teams will be divided up into east and west teams as well for the all-star game. The east will include Avon View, Central Kings, Middleton, Horton and Barrington; with the west made up of West Kings, Park View, NKEC, Bridgetown and Yarmouth.

For those can't make it in person, the games will be livestreamed by the Mariners Centre MC Media crew. The livestream link is www.mcmedia.stream.

As part of Eastlink Television's coverage of NSSAF school sports, and courtesy of the feed from the MC Media crew, the all-star games will also be broadcast on Eastlink Television. The games will air on Monday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

There will be a boys and girls all-star team selected after each individual game. Teams have also made team selections for an MVP from their team.
