Ring 73 holds boxing card in Glace Bay

GLACE BAY, N.S. — Ring 73 held its annual boxing card on Saturday night.

In total, 12 fights took place including three exhibition bouts and a fun match.

Hunter McEachern of Daltons Gym in New Waterford defeated Quad GooGoo of New Brunswick in the 140-pound division, while Jeremiah Mosher of Truro knocked off Marshall Marshall of Eskasoni in the 180-pound category.

Steve MacNeil of New Waterford Boxing beat Rein Ryan of Eskasoni in the 150-pound contest, while Xzorion Marshall of Eskasoni won a split decision bout with Jeff MacAulay of New Waterford. 

Matt Ross of New Waterford defeated clubmate Brayden LeBlanc in the 150-pound division, before Brayden Paul of Eskasoni captured a split decision victory over Riley Snow of Membertou. 

JD Pace of Membertou beat Logan Paul of Truro. The bout was awarded Fight of the Night. 

The match between Trevor Dauphinee of Membertou and Julian Thomas of New Brunswick was a double disqualification. 

The fun box featured Spencer McGee of Truro and Silas Bellow of North Sydney. Meanwhile, exhibition bouts featured Johnny Campbell versus Rylan Price, and Alan Hensman against Matt Kyte. All four fighters are from New Waterford Boxing. 

Brandon Leslie and Aaron Kinch entertained the crowd with a para-boxing match. The bout was considered an exhibition.
