The Halifax Mooseheads had four players named to the QMJHL roster for the upcoming CIBC Canada Russia Series.
Mooseheads forwards' Raphael Lavoie, Benoit-Olivier Groulx, goalie Alexis Gravel and defenceman Justin Barron will lead the QMJHL team against a Russian squad for games in Saint John (Nov. 4) and Moncton (Nov. 5).
Cape Breton Eagles forward Mathias Laferrière will also play for the Q team.
Groulx will be playing in his third series against the Russians while Lavoie and Barron will make their second appearances. Gravel is playing in his first Canada-Russia Series.
Jared McIsaac was also named to the team but will miss the event while recovering from off-season shoulder surgery.
The CIBC Canada-Russia Series, that also includes the OHL and WHL teams, is set for November 4-14.
The games against the Russian national junior team are part of the evaluation process for Team Canada prior to the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship.
