Goalie masks recalled

Bauer Hockey Corp. has announced the recall of three different goalie masks and cages sold in Canada and the United States between April 2013 and February 2015.

The announcement Thursday by Health Canada said 1,300 units were sold in Canada, and about 1,200 in the United States

The affected products are the Concept C1 goal mask with titanium oval wire, cNME 10 goal mask with titanium oval wire, and RP NME Ti titanium cage.  The affected goal masks and cages do not provide adequate protection in the event of impact from a puck.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled goal masks and contact Bauer Hockey for a replacement.
