Kristopher Lohnes — Fox Point

Kristopher Freeman Lohnes, Fox Point, NS died May 25, 2018. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kris Lohnes, age 41, after a long illness and struggle originating with a work place accident in December 2010. He is loved greatly and survived by his wife, Elaine Lohnes (Montebello) and 5-year-old son Dylan. Also left to grieve at this time, his mother Marie Lohnes (Law), father Bob Lohnes and brother Kevin Lohnes. He will be remembered and missed greatly by his large extended family and his many and dedicated group of friends around the world but notably in the St. Margaret’s Bay area, the Caledonia Queens County area and in Australia. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. On Saturday, June 2 a celebration for family and friends will be held from 12 noon to 2pm at Estabrooks Community Hall 4408 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd, Lewis Lake. Expressions of sympathy donations are being accepted in Kris’ memory to a bank account in the name of his only child Dylan (5 years old). Cheques made payable to ‘Dylan Lohnes’ may be sent to 72 Tantallon Crescent, Upper Tantallon, NS or donations can be made in person at any Scotiabank; Account Number 522330632724. Kris thoroughly enjoyed telling stories of his world travels and sharing his vintage record collection with others. All who knew him remember a kind-hearted man with a great love for the simple things in life – family, nature, fishing, music and friends. He was friendly and happy and it was a unique privilege to have Kris in our life. The life of a man who loved so much and gave all he could will always be remembered in our hearts and minds.
