Alice Nowe — Halifax

NOWE, Alice M. (July 18,1952-October 30,2016) It is with profound sadness that we share with you the passing of our dear wife and mother. Alice passed away peacefully on October 30, 2016 at the Halifax Infirmary after battling an illness head on and with a positive attitude for many years. At her side was her devoted husband Robert and loving daughter Beverly, and son in law Ben, as well as her youngest sister Sherry Leroy, sister in law Shirley Nowe and husband Brian, and brother in law Richard Nowe. Alice is survived by her husband of 47 years Robert, daughter Beverly Nowe-Benoit (Pierre), sisters Roxena MacEachern, Myria Thistle (Clay), Blenda Delong, Jean Oickle, Louann Alexander (Michael), Marilyn Anthony (Steven), Sherry Leroy (Kevin); brothers Frederick Wentzell (Sharon), and Enos Wentzell (Carla) and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her mother Roxena (Farmer) Wentzell, father Enos Wentzell Sr., brothers Ray, Burton, infant brother Stephen and infant sister Wendy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandler's Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Alice’s request, a private graveside service will take place at a later date in Milton Community Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the QEII Foundation. The family would like to thank the superb staff of the 6th floor of the Halifax Infirmary for their kindness, compassion and knowledge during this time. They will not be forgotten.
