YARMOUTH COUNTY, NS – The Yarmouth Rural RCMP are investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision on Highway 103 that occurred on Saturday evening, July 14.
Prior to 10:30 p.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 103 in Belleville North. According to an RCMP media release, a 2009 Toyota Corolla left the highway and struck a tree.
The collision claimed the life of a 57-year-old man from Clark's Harbour. The passenger, a woman from Clarks Harbour, was transported by EHS to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene to collect evidence. The investigation is continuing. Cpl. Dal Hutchinson says one of the things that will be investigated is whether a medical emergency may have contributed to this incident.
