WEYMOUTH, N.S. – The Christmas spirit is alive and well in the village of Weymouth as the holiday season kicked off with the 12th annual Festival of Trees, hosted by Sissiboo Landing, last weekend.

The festival was kicked off Nov. 23 and 24 but runs to Dec. 1.

The festival is a fundraiser for the Weymouth Waterfront Development Committee, which operates Sissiboo Landing.

Daytime hours for the festival from Monday to Friday (Nov. 26 to 30) are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday also will include evening sessions (6 to 8 p.m.). The last viewing day will be Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
