DURHAM, N.S. — A Pictou County man has died as a result of a tractor accident.
Dec. 2 just before 4 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a fatal tractor incident in a driveway off of Hwy. 376 in Durham, Pictou County. The tractor operator was trying to pull another tractor out of the ice at the time of the accident.
The 76-year-old man from Durham, Pictou County, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the RCMP their preliminary investigation has indicated the tractor the man was operating flipped and pinned him.
West River and Scotsburn Fire Departments responded along with EHS.
The incident remains under investigation.
