SYDNEY, N.S. — A Mira Gut man has been sentenced on a host of offences including a two-year driving prohibition.
Brian Morris Benoit, 48, pleaded guilty to charges of evading police, mischief relating to property damage, impaired driving, and refusing a breathalyzer demand.
The offences occurred in January 2018 in Sydney and Albert Bridge.
Benoit is to complete a five-month conditional sentence which allows him to serve his time at home under house arrest.
During the first three months of the sentence, Morris is to be under a 24/7 curfew with exceptions for emergencies. For the last two months, he will be subject to a curfew.
He is also to refrain from alcohol and drugs not prescribed to him and is also to serve a probation period of 12 months.
