Joseph Kennedy is staying on as Nova Scotia's conflict of interest commissioner
The former chief justice of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court has been acting commissioner since July 31, 2018. The province made the appointment permanent as of Tuesday, according to a news release.
"The commissioner’s role is to provide advice and recommendations on possible conflicts of interest involving provincially elected officials and public servants," the release said.
Kennedy, who was called the bar in 1969, retired as chief justice on April 30.
