Cape Breton police investigating arson in Whitney Pier

SYDNEY, N.S. — Cape Breton Regional Police are actively investigating an incident of arson after an overnight fire last month in Whitney Pier.

Police and Sydney Fire Services were dispatched to the fire in an occupied building at 1454 Victoria Road on Sept. 15 at 3:05 a.m.

An investigation by the Fire Marshall’s office and the police forensic identification services would later determine the fire to be an act of arson.

Members of the public with any information on this incident are asked to call police at 902-563-5151 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 902-562-8477.
