TRENTON, N.S. - New Glasgow Regional Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with an incident Thursday, Nov. 22 that saw a portion of Trenton blocked by police and a warning issued for people in the area to stay in their homes.
Const. Ken MacDonald said police had responded to a residence on Park Road about a possible firearm. He later issued a release saying that New Glasgow Regional Police had responded to the area around 6:15 p.m. and were told that an adult man was in possession of a possible firearm.
In response police blocked off the area around Park Road in Trenton and notified residents to stay in their homes for increased public safety. At around 9 p.m. police arrested the 35-year-old Trenton man who will appear in court at a later date. A firearm was also seized.
Police cleared the scene at approximately 9:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22.
