Shelburne Roseway Hospital emergency department closures over Nov. 8-12 timeframe

SHELBURNE, N.S. –  The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) is advising the public that due to physician unavailability, the emergency department at Roseway Hospital will be see several evening and overnight closures during the Nov. 8-12 time frame.

The schedule is as follows: 

• Thursday, Nov. 8, closed at 6:00 p.m. reopen Friday, Nov. 9, at 8:00 a.m.

• Saturday, Nov. 10, closed at 6:00 p.m., reopen Sunday, Nov. 11, at 8:00 a.m.

• Sunday, Nov. 11, closed at 6:00 p.m., reopen Monday, November 12, at 8:00 a.m.

NSHA says anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone. For non-urgent care, peolpe are told to contact their family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic.
