LOCKEPORT, N.S. – The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) is advising the public that blood collection services will not be available at the Lockeport Health Centre on Wednesday, January 23 or Wednesday, January 30.

People requiring blood collection services on this day are invited to visit Roseway Hospital in Shelburne and Queens General Hospital in Liverpool during blood collection hours. For more information on blood collection times, visit NSHA’s website: http://www.nshealth.ca/blood-collection

NSHA would like to remind people that anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone.

For non-urgent care, please call your primary care provider. For general health advice and information call 811, which is a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
