Liverpool event features home, sport and travel May 4-6

LIVERPOOL – From May 4 to 6, Liverpool’s Emera Centre will be hosting three shows in one location as part of the South Shore Expo for home, sport and travel.

For the second year, the South Shore Expo will showcase cutting-edge gear, the best information from the industry’s most renowned experts – all in one place.

“The Queens Place Emera Centre will be filled from wall to wall with RV's, boats, trucks, cars, SUVs, tractors, ATV's, sunrooms, docks, wharfs, roofing systems, building supplies, campground, resorts, guides, heat pumps, motors, generators and much more!” says organizer Natalie Schurman, co-owner of the Darwin Event Group, a full service trade show contractor, along with her husband, Matthew Schurman.

Throughout the weekend, the expo will have a Sip & Savour Kitchen and Seminar Pavilion, which will include everything from fishing tips to samplings of Van Dyk’s blueberry juice and Petite Riviere Vineyards red, sparkling and cider products.

“White Point Beach Resort’s chef Alan Cosby will be preparing a dish at the show on Friday, May 4, chef Gavin Craigie from Atlantic Oak Island is preparing a dish on Saturday, May 5, as well as seminars and other dishes on Sunday, May 6 to sample and take in at the kitchen and seminar pavilion all weekend,” says Schurman.

Back again is O'Regan's / South Shore Subaru, which will once again have an outdoor road test track where visitors can test drive cars.

Admission is adults for $8, seniors and students for $6, while children under 12 are free. Weekend passes are also available. The expo opens on Friday, May 4 at 4 p.m. and runs until Sunday at 4 p.m. For more information on vendors, visit

“If you are building, renovating, travelling or just love to explore the outdoors then this show is for you!” says Schurman. “Or if you love resorts, food demonstrations and seminars then come out to see what we have to offer.”

Schurman says the show offers something for almost everyone including home owners, cottage owners, travellers, outdoor enthusiasts or if you enjoy resorts, food and wine then you will also find this at the upcoming South Shore Expo.
