Boxing Rock Brewing Company and Finest Kind Food, both based in Shelburne, have joined forces to bring Beer, Boots and Food to Keji Seaside Adjunct in Port Joli on April 29.
Sheila Bird, who looks after outreach and events and is the retail coordinator for Boxing Rock, says it’s the first time this event has been held. She says the brewery wanted to come up with something to coincide with the celebrations happening for Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week.
Beer, Boots and Food kicks off at the Keji Seaside Adjunct at 1:30 p.m., where participants will have a guided walk of the trail. Bird says samples of food and drink from both Boxing Rock and Finest Kind Food will be given out with one at beginning, one at the beach and one at the end of the hike.
Tickets to the event are $30 and participants do not need to purchase a National Parks pass entrance to attend. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
She promises that the event will be a celebration of the best the area has to offer with great beer, food, scenery and company.
