New year, new students at Cape Breton University

It's a new year and new students are arriving at Cape Breton University. Arshdeep Kaur, left, a third-year hospitality student, was showing new students Shubhpreet Kaur, centre, and Simran Kaur around the campus on Thursday. Shubhpreet Kaur arrived in Cape Breton Wednesday and is enrolled in the business analytics program while Simran Kaur arrived Tuesday to study in the business management program. The new students found Cape Breton cold but were excited to see and experience snow for the first time. CBU reopened Thursday following the Christmas holidays. University officials say a new group of about 500 international students has arrived for the second semester.
