Canadian rock songwriter Matthew Good brings his band to Halifax for two nights at the Marquee Ballroom on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7, with special guest Villages.

He also performs a tour kick-off show at Pictou's deCoste Centre on Wednesday, March 4.

The shows are part of a 32-date cross-Canada tour following the upcoming Feb. 21 release of Good's new album Moving Walls, a richly textured and thematically multifaceted work recorded at Kingston's famed Bathouse Studios with longtime producer Warne Livesey (Midnight Oil, The The).

Fans of the emotionally revealing and thought-provoking musician have already had a sneak preview of the new album with the November release of the single Sicily, whose video provides the urgent melody with images of Good in hobo clown makeup lit up by the blaze of roman candles.

The Moving Walls Tour marks the first time Good has performed live with his full band since his sold-out nationwide road trip with Our Lady Peace in 2018. Tickets for both Halifax shows and the Pictou show go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m.

Tickets for the Marquee Ballroom are $42.99 advance/$47.99 day-of-show, available at the etixnow kiosks at the Halifax Forum, Music Nova Scotia office and Coffee Matters outlets, as well as online at www.sonicconcerts.com. The shows are restricted to those aged 19 and up, doors open at 8 p.m. with a 9 p.m. show time.

The Pictou show will be all-ages, and tickets can be purchased at the deCoste Centre box office and through Matthew Good's website.
