Glimpses is a one-and-a-half hour theatrical production with narration, comedy and music that takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions that reflect the history of Lunenburg and surrounding area.
After a successful run of 250 shows from 2008 to 2017, the cast of Glimpses took a break and last year did only one performance at St. Mark’s place.
This year, there will be one performance each month this summer at the third floor theatre of the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg. The first show was held July 21, and there will be two more shows on Aug. 18 and Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
As there is only one show per month, it is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance, given that in the past, most bi-weekly shows were sold out. Tickets to the show must be purchased in person at the Gift Shop of the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg. The cost is $10 per ticket and the museum theatre holds only 100 comfortable, air-conditioned seats.
The cast will be performing the 2017 version of the show, which includes crowd favourites, “The Oxen at the South Shore Exhibition”, “The Oak Island Mysteries” and “The Queen of the Sea Competition”.
