With his latest solo album Countrywide Soul, Blue Rodeo co-founder Jim Cuddy dips a little deeper into his love of the Nashville side of things, and he brings his own band to the East Coast for a string of shows in January.
Nova Scotia stops on the Countrywide Soul tour include a Rebecca Cohn Auditorium concert in Halifax on Friday, Jan. 17 and a Savoy Theatre show in Glace Bay on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The new record includes fresh approaches to previously released solo and Blue Rodeo songs, covers of the country classics Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell and George Jones’ Almost Persuaded, and a pair of brand new songs including the recent single Glorious Day, all about the joys of making the most of a groggy morning after the night before.
Tickets for the shows can be found at the venue box offices (902-494-3820 for the Cohn, 902-842-1577 for the Savoy), and also online at www.jimcuddy.com/tour.
