What started with a family herd of goats has ended up a full-fledged international business and skin care line for Tracy Tappin of Rhodes Corner.

Eighteen years ago, Tappin says it was difficult to find a skin care line for sensitive skin for herself. She also noticed how so many seemed to suffer from skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Seeing this need, she decided to fill it.

“At that time, I had a large herd of goats and a friend of mine was making goat milk soap, and she taught me how to make it,” says Tappin.

From there, everything just kind of escalated into a full-fledged business and a complete line of products, she says.

Now known as Nature’s Natural Solution, the company specializes in premium goat milk skin care based on natural ingredients.

“We have goat milk skin care, goat milk lotion, goat milk creams, goat milk facial products, goat milk bath and shower products, goat milk soaps and more! We also have specialty products for eczema, psoriasis and other severe dry skin disorders,” says Tappin.

All the products, explains Tappin, are her exclusive formulations, developed through trial and error over the past 18 years, and are government approved.

“Any cosmetic or skin care business in Canada must report their formulations to the government in order to sell your products anywhere,” she says. “Our products were tested to pass the European Union standards, which is one of the strictest in the world.” They passed with flying colours.

Nature’s Natural Solutions continues to grow and change with the times, creating more than a full-time job for Tappin.

Most of the ingredients are sourced either from Canadian suppliers or sometimes United States.

“Because the business has grown so much the herd of goats was sold and we now have to purchase it locally,” she says.

The skin care line is sold online and in stores across Canada, including locally at the Pharmasave in Bridgewater and on a newly opened shop on her property in Rhodes Corner called The Realm.

“We have the Nature's natural solutions line as well as other healing products, books and metaphysical products in our shop,” explains Tappin, saying how they opened earlier in May because people were asking quite regularly if they could stop by and pick up orders.

Products are also being sold online from around the world and the company now has a distributor overseas in Jordan.

Tappin says the company is always evolving and future plans include discontinuing two of their product lines and replacing them with updated packaging and essential oil blends, continuing to focus on the sensitive skin line.

“We are always thinking of new products for development and currently we are looking at expanding the hairline, and eye cream and of course incorporating the new look and products to replace the two lines that we are discontinuing,” she says.

2020 will prove to be an exciting year for both us and our customers.
