Privateers defeat Colts at Queens Emera Centre

The Liverpool Privateers played a winning game against the Cole Harbour Colts at Queens Place Emera Centre at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
The Privateers won their sixth home game 5-2. This was the Privateers’ fourth win at home. The team lost Oct. 27 to the Valley Maple Leafs, who had a 7-3 win.
In the Oct. 29 game, Jonny Jones had two goals and an assist in his first Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League (NSJHL) game. Logan MacLellan, from Upper Tantallon, scored a goal and made an assist. Left wing Brady Meech had two assists.
“Mitch Baker and Connor Kirby rounded out the scoring,” said Bruce Inglis, the team’s president. “Logan MacEwan was outstanding in net with 33 saves.”
A home game is set to take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 with the Privateers facing off against the Antigonish Farmers’ Mutual Jr. Bulldogs.
