Former Boston Bruins star Ray Bourque and two-time Stanley Cup champion Stéphane Richer made pit stops at various Hants County destinations, including Swinamer's Home Hardware, Pothier Motors, OK Tire, and NU-Air Ventilation Systems.
Fans lined up for their chance to meet the former professional hockey players, and the men were more than willing to sign autographs.

“I've been a Bruins fan since I was four, watching Bobby Orr. Ray Bourque is a classic,” said Denis Belliveau, of Black River, Kings County.
Belliveau and his friend, Scott Pitts, also a hockey fan, travelled to the Falmouth dealership to meet the stars. Both said it was an incredible experience to meet them and get their autograph.
Bourque, who holds records for most career goals, assists, and points for a defenceman in the NHL, and Richer, who scored 50 goals for the Montreal Canadiens in 1987–88 and 51 in 1989–90, are two of three NHLers in town for the Jan. 21 fundraiser. They will be joined by Joe DiPenta, who grew up in Cole Harbour and won a Stanley Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks.
Retired NHLer Andre 'Moose' Dupont had to cancel his appearance at the Long Pond Hockey Heritage Classic due to illness.
The annual hockey tournament is held at Long Pond, where many hockey buffs say hockey was invented. The fundraising event gets underway Jan. 21.
