New programs available at Liverpool library

Biblio-Talk -

Our new program guide is out and I want to highlight some of the programs we are offering in November and December.
For adults, we are continuing our Wednesday information series on topics like Kijiji, Youtube and podcasts, and also web service tutorials. For kids, we are keeping our regular afterschool activities like Lego club, Pokemon, Minecraft, and games club.
A new activity will be library mini-golf all day on Nov. 25. It is open to all ages. The course will set up throughout the library and each person will win a prize.
We are also adding new programs that utilize the virtual reality (VR) technology we now have.  An educational program that involves learning about a topic and then exploring it more in depth by experiencing it through virtual reality will be held on alternating Wednesdays. On alternate Thursdays, we offer a VR sculpture making class. Registration is required for both programs. The VR will also be used in a drop-in program with games club on Fridays and each Wednesday from 1-2 p.m..
Mark your calendar for the next trivia night. After the success of last month’s trivia night, we are pleased to announce that we are doing it again on Nov. 30, 6-8 p.m. Put together a team of up to five people or come alone.
Want to practice your French? Our French story time has been changed to a conversation class for people of all ages and skill levels to be held on Saturdays at 11 a.m.
These are just a few of the things we are offering these two months. Pick up the new guide at the library or go to our website to learn more.
