M. Irene Munyon — San Diego

M. Irene (Doggett) Euloth-Munyon b. November 3, 1926 d. April 5, 2018 Muriel Munyon, known to all as Irene, was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1926 to Herbert and Ida Doggett of White Point, Queens County. She passed away in San Diego, CA on Thursday, April 5, 2018, with her children and granddaughter, Jennifer, by her side. Irene had two sisters, Ruby Lind and Evelyn MacLeod, and one brother, Kenneth, all deceased. She married Earl Euloth and they had two children before moving their small family to Massachusetts, where they had their third child. Earl and Irene were married 39 years when he passed away. Four years later, she met and married Robert Munyon. They were married 21 years when Bob passed away suddenly. Irene is survived by her two daughters, Beverley O’Neil (Michael) and Joanne Givans (Scott), both living in San Diego, and one son, Michael Euloth (Doreen), in Saco, Maine, ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. After Bob’s death, Irene moved to California to be near her daughters, where she resided until her death. Irene was a special lady, and all who knew her, loved her. Her most precious gift was the love she gave so freely. She loved to cook and bake for her family, friends, and neighbors. Her Canadian family visited regularly, much to her delight. She would always say she was “lucky” to have had three children that were so “good”; but they believed they were the lucky ones to have been brought up by her. She had a sense of humor that was without any malice and always showed up with a twinkle in her eyes. Irene’s quiet faith and sweet soul will be missed beyond words. Private Memorial service will be held Monday, May 7, 2018, grave side at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough, MA. A Celebration of Life will follow at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Susan G. Komen Organization for fighting breast cancer.
