Milton man facing drug, weapon charges

MILTON, NS – A three-week investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old Milton man on drug-related charges and the seizure of Dilaudid.
Members of the Queens District RCMP conducted a targeted vehicle stop at Exit 19 on Highway 103 in Milton around noon on Dec. 14.
Police seized a quantity of prescription pills (Dilaudid) and a metal pipe from inside the vehicle.
Michael Albert Anthony of Milton has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Anthony was released from custody on conditions later that day. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater provincial court on Jan. 31, 2018.
The Queens District RCMP is continuing the investigation, with assistance from the Bridgewater and Shelburne Street Crime Units of the Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia (CISNS).
