SHELBURNE, N.S – The Nova Scotia Health Authority has announced numerous closures to the emergency department at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne during the Aug. 1-7 timeframe.
The closures are due to physician unavailability.
Some closures are overnight closures. Others extend over a couple of days.
The closures are as follows:
• Wednesday, Aug. 1, closed at 6 p.m., and reopening Thursday, Aug. 2, at 8 a.m.
• Thursday, Aug. 2, closed at 6 p.m., and reopening Saturday, Aug. 4, at 8 a.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 4, closed at 6 p.m., and reopening Monday, Aug. 6, at 8 a.m.
• Monday, Aug. 6, closed at 6 p.m., and reopening Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 7 a.m.
The health authority says those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911. General health concerns can be directed to 811, where health advice and information are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by registered nurses.
