The checkstops happened from October 2 to the 4 and were conducted in school zones around Digby County.
The RCMP said they found an alarming amount of children being driven to school not properly fastened in the vehicle.
Six tickets were given out over the three days, with the majority of cases involving children not seated in a car seat of any kind.
The RCMP are stressing it’s the driver’s responsibility to know and understand car seat safety for the children they’re driving.
Checkstops to monitor and enforce safety laws will continue around Digby County.
