The recent meeting of Arbutus Chapter No 30, Order of the Eastern Star, resulted in the installation of officers for 2018/2019.
They were:

Worthy Patron – Bro Dan MacLaren P.P.
Associate Patron – Bro Gerald Hatt P.P.
Treasurer – Bro William Cox P.P.
Secretary – Sis Emily Fralic P.M.
Conductress – Sis Linda Rafuse P.M.
Associate Conductress – Sis Helen Hatt P.M.
Chaplain – Sis Pauline Hatt P.M.
Marshall – Sis Barbara MacLaren
Organist – Bro Robert Turner P.G.P.
Adah – Sis Linda Moulton
Esther – Sis Dawn Wamboldt P.M.
Martha – Sis Lou Eva Gallant
Electa – Sis Carol Lee McKnight P.M.
Offices to be filled are Associate Matron, Ruth, Warder and Sentinel. People have been designated for these offices but could not be in attendance. The hope is that they can be installed in September, when the organization starts its new year.
The officers were installed by a team consisting of Bro Ronald Boudreau P.G.P. as installing officer, Sis Grace Boudreau as installing Grand Marshall, Sis Shirley Conrad P.M. as
Installing Assistant and Installing Chaplain, Bro Allan Conrad P.G.P.as Installing Assistant and Bro Robert Turner P.G.P. as Installing Organist.
Also during the meeting, the annual reports were presented and accepted.
Sis Sharon Hunter reported the organ previously owned by Bro Glen Mac Adams had been donated to the chapter, which extended thanks for the donation.
The sewing basket for Grand Chapter has been filled and donors were thanked.
Sis Pauline Hatt P.M. and Bro Gerald Hatt P.P. approached the East and presented the Worthy Matron, Sis Shirley Shot P.M., and Worthy Patron, Bro Dan MacLaren P.P., with gifts from the chapter in recognition of their year.
The Worthy Matron thanked the installing team for a job well done.
A letter from the Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron was read inviting everyone to the Grand Chapter Session in Truro this summer from July 9 to 11.
The Worthy Matron escorted Sis Emily Fralic P.M. to the East where she was presented with a bar to her Robert Morris jewel for obtaining new members.
Sis Dorothy Jewers was escorted to the station where she was presented with her Past Matron’s jewel. The Worthy Patron was also escorted to Sis Barbara MacLaren’s station where he was presented with his Past Patron’s jewel.
